Patna, October 16: A day after a video of few police officers sleeping during a law and order briefing in Patna went viral on social media, DIG Patna spoke in their favour and said that the cops arent' at fault. He said they must be have dozed off for 2-3 mins because the policemen had come after night duty and hadn't slept for 24 hrs straight. The DIG further added that the cops were attentive but must have dozed off after the tiring work schedule as they are humans after all.

"Policemen who were sleeping had come after night duty & hadn't slept for 24 hrs straight. They aren't at fault. They were attentive but might have dozed off for 2-3 min. They are humans after all", DIG Patna was quoted by ANI.

On Monday, few Bihar police officials were spotted sleeping during a law and order briefing here in the wake of the Durga Puja. In a video that went viral, few officers can be seen sleeping at the time of the briefing.

The incident came few months after the Bihar police suspended two inspectors and a nine-member raid party for sending a minor boy to jail for allegedly refusing free vegetables to cops in Patna. According to an ANI report, the 14-year-old boy was apprehended by policemen on March 19.
