Bihar CJM Court Orders Narco Test Of Four Accused Arrested In Connection With Recovery Of 20 AK-47 Rifles From Munger

Munger, October 15: The Chief Judicial Magistrate Court has allowed narco test of four accused Manzar Khan, Shamsher. Imraan and Irfan, in connection with the recovery of 20 AK-47 rifles from Munger. Bihar police On October 3, busted an arms smuggling racket. The police recovered huge cache of AK-47 assault rifles and their spare parts hidden in wells and river beds from Munger district of Bihar. According to a report of India Today, the police conducted a fortnight-long operation to bust the racket. According to the report, the AK-47 rifles recovered from Munger were made in the Central Ordnance Depot in Jabalpur, Madhya Pradesh and the rifles were smuggled to Bihar's Munger district. The security agencies suspected that these rifles were to be delivered to Naxalites. The agencies also believed that more than 60 AK-47 rifles that went missing from the Jabalpur ordnance depot since 2012 were smuggled to Munger.

Earlier in August, The recovered items include three AK 47 rifle, 30 magazines, seven pistons and other parts used in assembling the weapon. Acting on a tip-off a police party conducted a raid in Jubilee Well locality of Jamalpur town in the district and arrested one of the four accused Mohammed Imran Alam who was carrying a bag and a blanket inside which the items were concealed.
