Bihar BJP Leader Baiju Gupta Shot Dead by Goons in Muzaffarpur, Police Launches Manhunt

A local Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader identified as Baiju Gupta on Wednesday was shot dead by unknown assailants in Bihar.

Muzaffarpur, January 9: A local Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader identified as Baiju Gupta on Wednesday was shot dead by unknown assailants in Bihar. The incident took place in Muzaffarpur city. A police case has been registered against the unidentified accused under various sections of murder in Indian Penal Code (IPC). Gujarat BJP Leader Jayanatilal Bhanushali Shot Dead in Moving Train, Police Launches Manhunt.

Earlier, on Tuesday, senior BJP leader Jayanti Bhanushali was shot dead on a train. The incident took place at 1 am when Bhanushali was travelling in the Bhuj-Dadar Sayaji Nagari Express train. Bhanushali's family member had accused local BJP leader Chhabil Patel, a political rival of murdering him. On December 31, local Biju Janata Dal (BJD) leader Sadananda Lenka, 46, was shot dead by unknown miscreants at Aska in Odisha's Ganjam district. Assailants open fired on Lenka when he was travelling in his motorcycle near Aska College square on 31st December night. A week later, police arrested two brothers in connection with the murder.
