Patna, March 27: In a shocking incident, an auto driver brutally thrashed a policeman who stopped him from driving on the wrong side. According to a tweet by ANI, the auto rickshaw driver and his friends bashed a cop in Muzaffarpur area of the city. Reports inform that the incident took place after the police personnel stopped the duo from driving on the wrong side at Aghoria Bazar Chowk.

In a video that went viral on social media, the policeman tries to stop the two men but is unable to control them. The two men, in a fit of rage, are seen manhandling the police personnel and thrashing him in an inhumane manner. Seeing the incident, locals were seen trying to help the police man but to no avail. According to reports, the cop was admitted in hospital. In November 2018, several police personnel including a commandant were beaten up and the entire police line vandalised after a trainee constables went berserk over the death of a lady constable from dengue. According to a report by PTI, the trainee constables smashed furniture and threw stones at seniors who came in sight after the news of the death reached the police line.  Reports inform that the protesters claimed the commandant did not grant her adequate leave to get treated.
