Bihar: 30 Schoolgirls in Supaul Thrashed by Goons For 'Resisting Sexual Assault'
In a shocking incident, At least 30 schoolgirls of a government school in Supaul were thrashed by miscreants for allegedly resisting sexual advances.
Patna, October 7: In a shocking incident, at least 30 school girls of Kasturba Residential School in Bihar's Supaul were thrashed by miscreants for allegedly resisting sexual advances. The girls were admitted to a hospital. An FIR has been registered into the case. Sub-Divisional Magistrate of Triveniganj said, “FIR registered. Accused will be arrested soon. Action will be taken against the school after reports come.” The girls were reported to be between 12 to 16 years. The incident took place yesterday.
According to reports, a group of boys entered the school and when the girls asked them to leave they passed vulgar comments and misbehaved. After which the girls beat up the boys in self-defence. A few hours later, the boys along with their parents thrashed the girls. The school authorities filed a complaint with the police. In the complaint, the principal of the school said that the school authorities tried to calm the mob, but they beat up the girls and the school staff. Immediately after the incident, opposition leader Tejashwi Yadav slammed the Nitish Kumar government. In one of his tweet, Yadav targeted Nitish Kumar and Deputy Chief Minister Sushil Modi. He tweeted, “Crime-related News Headlines of last 4 days of Bihar under. The Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) leader in another tweet said, “When an administrator is selfish, citizens' life becomes a curse! In Bihar, CM is not only selfish but also option-less and confused! On one hand he is desperate to revive his already dead credibility & on the other hand public is suffering due to rising crime!” Meanwhile, Bihar education minister Krishna Nandan Prasad Verma assured of strict action against the accused.
