Bhopal, July 15: A shocking incident has come to light from Madhya Pradesh, where a 43-year-old woman was allegedly raped by her son's friend in Bhopal. Police officials said that the accused, who is the victim's son's friend, raped her after threatening to kill her son if she resisted the rape bid. The alleged rape incident occurred on July 12 in Bhopal's Awadhpuri area.
According to a report in the Times of India, the accused and the victim reside in the same area. In her complaint, the victim said that the incident occurred on Friday night when her son and the accused had gone out. At midnight, the accused reportedly returned to his friend's place and knocked on the victim's door. At that time, the survivor was alone at home. Police officials said that the accused barged into the woman's house after he knocked on her door. When the victim asked the accused about her son, he told her that he would be drunk. Following this, the accused overpowered the woman and threatened to kill her son if she resisted his rape attempt.
After this, the accused raped the woman and fled from the spot. The next day, the woman approached the police and lodged a complaint against the accused. While the police have launched an investigation into the incident, the accused is still at large. In a separate incident, a 17-year-old girl was brutally murdered by a 20-year-old man named Gufran in the Omti locality of Jabalpur city on Monday, July 1. Police officials said the motive behind the crime was the victim's alleged refusal to speak to the accused.
