Bhopal, June 9: In a shocking case from Madhya Pradesh's Bhopal, an 11-year-old girl was raped on multiple occasions for a period of three months by her step father. The case has been reported from Gandhi Nagar locality of the city. The police registered a case after the victim reached out to them through Childline -- a hotline number activated to complaint against instances of child abuse.

The victim's ordeal was narrated to Childline officials by a family, where the girl began working as a domestic help recently. The minor revealed that her stepfather would force her to watch pornographic movies along with him, and when she protested, he would subject her to sexual assault.

When she finally mustered the courage to reveal this to her mother, she decided to drop her with a family in Piplani locality to work as a domestic help.

The victim, after a few days, revealed to the family why she was traumatised. On hearing her ordeal, the family decided to approach Childline.

The Gandhi Nagar police station has registered a case against her stepfather under the relevant sections of the Indian Penal Code. A search operation has been launched to nab the accused, who went missing after the FIR was filed against him.
