Bhopal, July 31: A bizarre theft has come to light in Madhya Pradesh. A man working as a driver for a Public Works Department (PWD) official allegedly stole INR 60,000 from him. After the theft, the accused informed the PWD official's son about the money and promised to return it within 20 days. The alleged incident occurred in Bhopal, and the driver has been identified as Deepak.

According to a report in India Today, Deepak was employed at the home of Kapil Tyagi, a PWD officer. The report also stated that the government official and his wife are presently in the United States. On July 27, the accused driver took Kapil Tyagi's mother to a clinic for physiotherapy. After dropping her off, Deepak returned home. Post this, he messaged Chirayu about taking INR 60,000 from their house. Officials also said that Deepak promised Chirayu that he would return the money within 20 days.

Shocked by Deepak's act, Chirayu approached the police and lodged a complaint against the accused. While the police have launched an investigation into the incident, they said that Deepak's last location was traced near Guna. Cops said Deepak had uploaded numerous reels on various social media platforms. Meanwhile, a police team has been sent to Guna to arrest the accused.
