Bhiwandi: Wife Pours Boiling Oil Over Husband’s Face and Body in Thane After Argument Over Vacating Rented House, Man Suffers Severe Burns

Thane, July 13: A woman allegedy poured boiling oil over her husband after the two had a heated argument over vacating their rented house in Mumbai's neighbouring Thane district. The alleged incident occurred on the night of Thursday, July 11, in Thane's Bhiwandi area. Police officials said that the accused woman poured boiling oil on her husband when he went to sleep after their fight.

According to a report in the Hindustan Times, the couple allegedly fought over vacating their tented house in Bhiwandi. The victim, Rehman Ansari (32), suffered severe burns to his eyes and body. At present, he is undergoing treatment at Sion Hospital. Couple Fought Often

During the investigation, cops learned that the couple fought often. The incident took place on Thursday night when Ansari came home after work. An argument is said to have taken place between Ansari and Sirin over the issue of house and money. After the argument, Rehman went to sleep. Amid all this, Sirin heated the oil and poured it over Rehman’s face and body, who was sleeping.

Ansari and Sirin Faced Financial Difficulties

Cops said that nearly a week ago, Ansari had allegedly abused his wife over the same issue. Officials also learned that Ansari did odd jobs to earn his livelihood. The couple, who married 10 years ago, has three children. It is reported that the couple was facing financial difficulties. After the incident, the police registered a case against Sirin under section 112 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita. It is also learned that Rehman was unable to speak for several hours after the incident occurred.
