Mumbai, September 10: Shiv Sena Chief Uddhav Thackeray launched a new mobile app on Monday which will help commuters in Mumbai to track on-road Brihanmumbai Electric Supply and Transport (BEST) buses. The app named “BEST Pravas”, will be available on Android systems from September 10. However, the iOS version of the “BEST Pravas” has not been launched yet. The BEST transport agency in a tweet said, “Mumbaikars - We've been tracking your requests so you could track your buses! Now check your bus locations and more ASAP, with the #BESTPravas App. Available from 10th September for Android on Play Store.” According to the transport agency, the iOS version of the app will be launched in the coming weeks. The app will help passengers to check estimated timings of the buses with the help of the Vehicle Tracking System. This system is already fitted on the buses. Thackeray also inaugurated 10 new electric buses, including six air-conditioned buses. According to reports, BEST will add more 30 e-buses over the next couple of months. Shiv Sena MP Arvind Sawant, Minister of State for Urban Development Department of Maharashtra Yogesh Sagar and Surendra Kumar Bagde -- general manager of BEST -- were also present at the event.
