Bengaluru, July 10: In a shocking incident in Karnataka, a transgender person allegedly extorted INR 7 lakh by threatening to show his nude photos to his family. The incident came to light after the victim approached the police and sought action against the transgender person and her brother. The 59-year-old victim, a resident of Cox Town, told cops that the transgender, Sophia, stopped him at Promenade junction on the night of June 4.
In his complaint, the retired central government employee said that Sophia and her brother forcibly took him to a nearby school premises after making him park his two-wheeler, reports TOI. At the school premises, the duo made the victim strip and recorded the act on a mobile phone. After taking his contact number, the accused let off the victim. The next day, the accused demanded INR 50,000 from the victim to avoid sharing the nude photos and videos with his family. The scared victim gave in to their demands. The complainant also said that the accused robbed him of his gold ring and chain when he met them to give the money.
The victim further claimed that the accused threatened him to give more money to them whenever they demanded to prevent sharing the nude photos with his family members. The victim ended up giving INR 7 lakh in a span of three weeks. The complainant also said that the accused sent him to Salem in Tamil Nadu, where their brother demanded INR 5 lakh from him. The victim returned to the city and requested more time to arrange the money. On June 29, when the victim refused to give money, the accused demanded his children's phone number. After a few days, the victim approached the police and lodged a complaint on July 5. Meanwhile, the transgender person claimed that the complainant had sex with her and denied extorting money.
