In Bengaluru, the Sampige Theatre owner was drugged and robbed by his house help and accomplices. Police arrested three Nepali men after identifying them through CCTV footage, while two suspects remain at large.
Bengaluru, November 13: In a daring robbery in Bengaluru, the owner of Sampige Theatre was drugged and looted by his house help and a security guard. The suspects sedated the victim at his Jayanagar home before stealing valuables. Following an investigation, police arrested three individuals after identifying them through nearby CCTV footage.
According to a report, On October 21, while NV Nagesh was alone at his Jayanagar home, his house help, Ganesh, and his wife, Geetha, drugged his drink with sedatives. Once Nagesh passed out, the couple called three Nepali accomplices to the house, and together, they stole gold and silver jewellery, along with INR 1.5 lakhs in cash. The gang fled after the theft, and Nagesh regained consciousness the next day to find his valuables gone. While three of the suspects have been arrested, Ganesh and Geetha remain on the run. Bengaluru police are actively searching for the couple, who had been employed at Nagesh’s residence for two years.
