Bengaluru, May 11: The Bangalore Electricity Supply Company (BESCOM) on Saturday informed that parts of the city will have power cuts due to urgent maintenance work over the weekend. The city's power supply company stated that while some parts will have a 36-hour (8 am Saturday to 8 pm Sunday) power outage, other places will have scheduled power cuts for 2 hours between noon and 2 pm.

According to the report, published in New 18, among the areas where the people would face power cuts from Saturday (8 am to Sunday 8 pm) include Vijaynagar, RPC Layout, Govindraj Nagar, Marenahalli, Nagarbhavi, Kamakshipalya, Chandra Layout, Hampinagar, Sir MV Layout, Kodigehall, BHEL Layout and Bapujinagar. Cyclone Fani Aftermath: No Electricity Supply Yet, Survivors in Odisha Block Roads to Protest. 

Also, the power cuts will also take place in areas like Hosapalya, Jnanabharathi, Vinayaka Layout, Kengeri Satellite Town railway station, Girinagar, Srinagar, Hanumanthnagar, Chamarajpet, Vidyapeetha, Thyagarajanagar, Hosakerehalli, and Mysuru Road.

Along with this, the BESCOM informed that many parts of south-east Bengaluru will not have power between 12 pm - 2 pm. These areas include Amarjyothi Layout, Domlur, Domlur Layout, Murugeshpalya, Jagdeeshnagar, Malleshpalya, Vignan Nagar, Maruthinagar, Basavanagar, Rameshnagar, Lal Bahadur Shastri Nagar, Kalappa Layout, AS Palya, Islampur, Vinayakanagar, Doddanekundi, LRD Layout, Sanjaynagar and Manjunathanagar.

During the time period, these areas will also be affected. They are Marathahalli, Kaveri Layout, Manjunatha Layout, Vagdevi Layout, Ejipura, ST Bed, 80 feet Road, Ashwani Layout, Vivekinagar, Anepalya, Neelasandra, Sonnenahalli, Rose Garden, YG Palya, Rudrappa Garden, Srinivagilu, Indiranagar, and surrounding areas.
