Bengaluru, September 7: In a shocking incident in Karnataka's Bengaluru, a man was allegedly stabbed by another man who not only sought lift but also rode a pillion on his bike. The victim, a 38-year-old private bank employee, is presently undergoing treatment at a private hospital in the city. Cops said that P Eshwar Gowda, a resident of Dasanapura, was allegedly stabbed by Rohit Gowda (24).
During the preliminary investigation, cops found that P Eshwar, a loan recovery agent, had reportedly humiliated Gowda in public during a cricket tournament. According to a report in the TNIE, a probe revealed that the accused had hatched a plan to kill P Eshwar for humiliating him. Soon after the incident came to light, cops arrested Gowda. The alleged incident occurred on Wednesday night, September 4, when Gowda came out of a dhaba where he had gone out to have dinner with his friend. The accused, who was waiting outside the dhaba, requested P Eshwar to drop him home. As the victim was going the same way, he obliged to Gowda's request. After riding pillion for some time, the accused allegedly stabbed P Eshwar.
The victim, who was surprised by Gowda's move, lost control of the bike, leading to the two falling to the ground. Cops said that P Eshwar sustained multiple injuries, but when he made an effort to escape, he was once again chased and stabbed by Gowda. The victim somehow managed to escape and immediately called his brother for help, who rushed him to a nearby hospital. Amid all of this, Rohit managed to escape on Eshwar’s bike. While the victim is said to be out of danger, the police have arrested Gowda for attempted murder.
