Bengaluru Man Molests IndiGo Air Hostess, Held in Mumbai
20-year-old IndiGO air hostess was molested by a man in his early thirties who was intoxicated, arrested by police.
Mumbai, October 18: A molestation case surfaced from a Bengaluru based flight on Tuesday where a 20-year-old IndiGo air hostess was molested by a man in his early thirties. Reports alleged that the man, who was intoxicated, was working for the private firm in Bengaluru had come to Mumbai for work. Reports inform that the man allegedly misbehaved with an air hostess and touched her inappropriately. “The flyer pressed my back and when I retaliated, he abused me verbally. I informed the incident to my senior before the flyer was offloaded with his baggage,” TOI quoted the complaint written by Survivor. In the complaint, she alleged that the accused touched her inappropriately and put his hand around her shoulder. The incident occurred on IndiGo 6E-825 flight which was set to depart from Mumbai but was delayed by thirty minutes due to arresting.
After the passenger's misbehaviour, the air hostess narrated her ordeal to the captain. The captain further reported it to central industrial security force (CISF) who nabbed the accused. Later the case was registered against the accused at Mumbai police station. The man was identified as Raju Gangappa and booked under the Indian Penal Code (IPC) section 354.
