Bengaluru, September 12: During Ganpati Visarjan, a couple in Bengaluru accidently immersed a gold chain worth INR 4 Lahs with the Ganesh idol on September 7. The gold chain was found after a 10-hour search, which involved draining nearly 10,000 litres of water and sifting through thick mud as 300 dissolved idols had been immersed in the tank.

According to a report by Times Now, the incident happened at Dasarahalli Circle in Vijayanagar. Ramaiah and Umadevi placed a gold chain on their Ganesh idol, intending to remove it before immersion, but forgot. After immersing in the Ganesh idol, the couple, Ramaiah and Umadevi, returned home only to realize they had forgotten to remove the valuable gold chain they had placed on the idol. In a state of panic, they quickly rushed back to the mobile immersion tank where the Visarjan had taken place. Upon arriving, they anxiously inquired with those present about the whereabouts of their lost item, hoping to recover the expensive chain they had accidentally left behind. Bengaluru: Man Resorts to Selling Ganja To Earn Quick Money for Sister’s Wedding, Gets Arrested With 5.2 Kg Drug Before First Sale.

At the site of the immersion, a young boy informed the couple that he had noticed the chain on the idol during the Visarjan but assumed it was artificial and of little value. Realizing the seriousness of the situation, the couple quickly reported the incident to both the local police and MLA Priya Krishna, seeking assistance in retrieving their lost gold chain.

In response, the MLA promptly directed a team to search for the missing item. A group of at least 10 individuals joined the search effort, determined to recover the valuable ornament. For the next 10 hours, the team worked tirelessly, draining the immersion tank and combing through layers of mud where hundreds of dissolved idols had been placed. Their perseverance paid off when, after an exhaustive search, they successfully located the chain and returned it to the relieved couple.
