Hathras, November 3: Aditya Sharma, a 14-year-old boy from Uttar Pradesh’s Hathras, tragically died following a complex surgery at Delhi’s Safdarjung Hospital, where doctors removed approximately 65 metal objects from his stomach. The items, including batteries, chains, razor blade fragments, and screws, had caused severe complications. Despite the five-hour procedure, Aditya succumbed to an intestinal infection shortly after surgery.
The ordeal began on October 13 when Aditya started experiencing breathing difficulties and discomfort, reported Amar Ujala. His father, Sanchet Sharma, a medical representative, sought medical help across various hospitals in Agra, Jaipur, Aligarh, Noida, and Delhi over the following weeks. At a hospital in Aligarh, a CT scan initially identified a nasal blockage, which doctors removed, but Aditya soon developed severe abdominal pain.
