Lucknow, August 7: In an unfortunate incident in Uttar Pradesh, a 16-year-old boy allegedly ended his life after his father was insulted by huis girlfriend's dad in Bareilly. The teenager reportedly died by suicide on Monday night, August 5 at his relative's place in Manpur village. After the incident came to light, the police reached the spot and sent the victim's body for post-mortem.

According to a report in the Times of India, the alleged incident occurred four days after the girl's family discovered about her relationship with the teenager. Following which, they asked her to leave the house. The girl then reached the boy's house whose family took her to the nearby police station. However, things took an ugly turn outside the police station. The girl's father went on to abuse the boy's father and even insulted him. Post this, the boy's family sent him to stay at his relative’s place in Manpur village under the Sheeshgarh police station area. Over there, the boy ended his life by consuming poison as he was upset over his father being insulted.

In a separate incident, a 21-year-old man was arrested on Sunday, August 4, for allegedly murdering his friend, who attempted to sodomise him in Gangoda village in Bijnor district. Police officials said Aasif's relatives had reported him missing on July 26 and filed a missing person complaint on July 27.
