Kanpur, October 26: In a horrifying incident, a man has been arrested for allegedly murdering his wife in Tanda Mohalla of Baheri area in Uttar Pradesh's Bareilly. The horrifying event unfolded on Friday evening, October 25, when an argument between the couple escalated, leading Shahid to fatally stab his wife multiple times with a vegetable cutting knife, including in her private parts.

The Aaj Tak report said the accused was identified as Shahid alias Bhura. Shahid had married a woman from another community two years ago with his family’s consent. The couple has a son. Man Stabs Wife in Private Parts

According to reports, the argument between Shahid and his wife turned violent, resulting in Shahid attacking her with a knife. Despite his claims to her family that she was injured while cutting vegetables and his attempt to take her to the hospital, she succumbed to her injuries on the spot.

The deceased’s family has made serious allegations against Shahid, accusing him of torturing their daughter over dowry demands. They claim he subjected her to severe physical abuse, including burning her with cigarettes, stripping her naked, and giving her electric shocks. Recognising the gravity of the situation, the police have arrested Shahid. SP Rural Mukesh Chandra Mishra confirmed that a case of murder for dowry has been registered. The investigation is ongoing, and further clarity is expected once the post-mortem report is available.
