Bengaluru, July 31: A Bangalore-Patna IndiGo flight was diverted to Hyderabad on Tuesday morning due to a medical emergency on board. The medical emergency was reported to be with an infant. According to a tweet by ANI, after the plane landed at Hyderabad airport, the infant was immediately rushed to the hospital. Reports inform that the infant later passed away.
Earlier this week, a Kolkata-Patna-Lucknow IndiGo flight carrying around 150 passengers was diverted to Varanasi from the city airport after a flock of birds was spotted at the runway.

Earlier this month, an IndiGo flight that was for Pune was diverted to Indore after a passenger suffered a cardiac arrest. According to a PTI report, the 52-year-old passenger, who had boarded the flight from Delhi, was rushed to a hospital in Indore after he suffered a cardiac arrest onboard.
Director of the Devi Ahilyabai Holkar Airport, Indore, Aryama Sanyal confirmed the incident and informed that the flight 6E769 landed under emergency conditions around 9:30 am after the passenger suffered cardiac arrest mid-air.
