Bangalore December 27: In a shocking incident, a 20-year-old college student at a reputed law college was arrested for attempting to murder his ex-girlfriend, who was also his classmate. The two were in a relationship, but the girl allegedly moved out of the relationship after she felt that he was overly suspicious of her. According to a Bangalore Mirror report, the man was extremely upset about the breakup and started stalking and harassing the girl.

They were in a relationship for just a month and after which things turned sour. The girl broke up with him after he demanded to see her mobile phone in order to see with whom all she is in touch with. He blackmailed her and forced her to marry to which she objected. He continued to harass her and one day he slapped her in front of their college and smashed her phone. When she screamed for help, he kicked her and threatened to commit suicide and would blame her for his death. So the girl didn't file any complaint then. However, the harassment continued, the guy asked her to give his phone so that he can repair it when the girl didn't oblige, he got upset and attempted to strangle her.
