Mumbai, August 12: A 36-year-old man from Mumbai was arrested on Friday, August 9, for allegedly harassing women by sending them porn clips. The accused identified as Mohammed Aziz Nisar Khan, lives with his alone in Bandra East while his wife and children are staying back home in Uttar Pradesh. The accused was arrested after a woman approached the police and lodged a complaint against him.

In her complaint, the 30-year-old homemaker said she received a random phone call on June 14. The woman also claimed that she scolded the person and hung up the call as the caller spoke to her vulgarly, reports Indian Express. Accused Sends Obsecene Videos to Woman on WhatsApp

In the beginning, the woman ignored the messages but later informed her husband. Following this, the couple approached the police and lodged a complaint against the accused in June. Acting on the complaint, the police began investigating the matter. The probe, which spanned two months, finally resulted in the tracing of the accused, who was arrested from the Behrampada area in Bandra.

Probe Hits Dead End At One Point

During the arrest, cops also seized two mobile phones from the accused. When the police Khan's mobile phones, they learned that the accused harassed nearly 25 women. However, cops faced a tough time tracing the accused as he was at ease with technology and gadgets. Cops said that the accused used to call and send obscene videos using an unsecured wi-fi network.

Cops Reveal Accused's Modus Operandi

At one point, the probe hit a dead end at the wi-fi router’s owner, but the extensive probe yielded results when two constables traced and caught Khan. Revealing the accused's modus operandi, cops said that Khan used to keep women's or men's photos as his WhatsApp display picture. He said that he would send pornographic material to the women to establish a relationship with the women. Meanwhile, cops have requested other victims to come forward and lodge complaints against the accused. They said that more criminal cases against Khan would ensure he remains behind bars for a longer period.
