New Delhi, February 26: The Supreme Court has asked the parties involved in the Ayodhya Ram Janmabhoomi-Babri Masjid land dispute case to explore opportunities for a mediation even if there is one percent chance of doing so. The Supreme Court's open endorsement for a mediation in the Ayodhya case came after the Supreme Court observed that the Ram Janmabhoomi issue has become contentious. 'Ram Temple Dispute in Ayodhya Can be Resolved in 24 Hours', Says UP CM Yogi Adityanath.

The Supreme Court has also said it will pass order on next Tuesday on whether the case may be sent for court-monitored mediation to save time. The Centre had on January 29 moved the apex court seeking its nod to return the 67-acre undisputed acquired land around the disputed site to original owners.
