New Delhi, October 30: Chief Justice-designate Justice SA Bobde on Wednesday stated that Ayodhya case is "one of the most important in the world". The 63-year-old Justice would take over from Justice Ranjan Gogoi as the Chief Justice of India after November 17. Justice Bodbe is among the Justices' bench that heard the title suit in Babri Masjid-Ram Mandir land dispute case for 40 days.

Expressing his opinion on the importance of Ayodhya case, Justice Bobde said, as NDTV reports, "Ayodhya case is definitely important. It is one of the most important in the world." It is to be known that the five-judge Constitution bench is going to announce its verdict before November 17 on the Ayodhya case, as CJI Ranjan Ranjan Gogoi retires on November 17. Following 40-day hearing on the disputed 2.77 acres of land in Ayodhya, the bench reserved its order on October 16 and stated that it would pronounce the judgment before November 17. According to the details, the apex court had to rule on appeals against the September 30, 2010 verdict of the Allahabad High Court. In that verdict, the Allahabad High Court had ordered a three-way division of the disputed 2.77 acres between the Nirmohi Akhara sect, the Uttar Pradesh Sunni Central Waqf Board and Ramlalla Virajman.

Considering his previous records, the former Chief Justice of Madhya Pradesh High Court had made remarkable decisions on Aadhaar Card, where the Supreme Court observed that no citizen without an Aadhaar card could be stripped of government subsidies and basic services. Meanwhile, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Wednesday stated that everyone should respect the Supreme Court verdict in the Ram Janmabhoomi-Babri Masjid case and the state government would implement the order with "full commitment".
