Srinagar, August 3: At least 50 youths have left their lucrative jobs in Saudi Arabia and returned to their village in Jammu and Kashmir to avenge the death of their friend, Indian Army rifleman Aurangzeb. Aurangzeb was abducted and later killed by terrorists in Jammu and Kashmir's Pulwama district when he was returning home for Eid in June.

According to a report in NDTV, nearly 50 youths have quit their jobs in the Gulf to return to Salani village in Mendhar to take revenge for Aurangzeb's killing. The report says that Mohammad Kiramat and Mohammamd Taj, who are among the 50 youths, plan to join the police and the Army.

The report quotes Kiramat as saying that all 50 of them quit their jobs on the spot as soon as they got the news of Aurangzeb's death. He said that they have returned with the sole aim of avenging their friend's death.

Aurangzeb was abducted by terrorists when he was on his way home in Rajouri district for Eid celebrations in June. He was later shot dead by the militants. Aurangzeb belonged to 4 Jammu and Kashmir Light Infantry and was posted at the 44 Rashtriya Rifles camp at Shadimarg in Shopian.
