Guwahati, July 12: Train movement were disrupted in Assam due to heavy rainfall which led to a massive landslide in the hill section. The landslide was reported between Jatinga Lumpur and New Harangajao station in Lumding–Badarpur hill section under Lumding division of Northern Frontier Railway. IMD Predicts Heavy Rainfall in Sikkim, Assam and Bihar Today.
Because of the landslide, four trains have been cancelled or terminated. According to reports, it would take more than eight hours to clear the block. Train Status: Central Railway Cancelled 4 Express Trains, 1 Diverted Due to Heavy Rainfall.

List of cancelled/short terminated trains:
- Train no 13176 Guwahati Kolkata Kanchanjunga Express has been cancelled today.
- Train no 55616 Silchar Guwahati SCL GHY Passenger train has been short terminated. The train will operate till Chandranathpur station.
- Train no 55615 Lumding Silchar GHY SCL Passenger train has been short terminated. The train will operate till New Haflong station.
- Train no 13173 Sealdah Agartala Kanchanjunga Express has been short terminated. The train will operate till Lumding station.
Meanwhile, the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) has predicted heavy rainfall in Assam. "Heavy to very heavy rainfall at isolated places over Konkan, Goa, Assam, Uttarakhand, Himachal Pradesh, East Uttar Pradesh and Arunachal Pradesh," IMD said.
