Guwahati, May 15: An explosion took place outside a mall on Zoo road in Guwahati. Six people were reportedly injured the explosion. The entire area has been cordoned off. After receiving the information, the police immediately rushed to the spot. The injured were referred to Guwahati Medical College Hospital.
Deepak Kumar, Commissioner of Police, Guwahati said, "A grenade blast took place at 8 pm in which six people are injured, an investigation is underway. Meanwhile, on April 17, an explosion also took place in Karbi Anglong district of the state. The explosion occurred around 7.30 pm near a stationary truck at Bokoliaghat in the district which falls under the Autonomous District (ST) constituency.
