Assam: 10-Year-Old Girl Injured in Toy Car Explosion Found Near Road at Manipuri Basti
A 10-year old girl was seriously injured on Tuesday when a toy car found on the road near her house at the Manipuri Basti here exploded when she played with it, the police said.
Guwahati, November 13: A 10-year old girl was seriously injured on Tuesday when a toy car found on the road near her house at the Manipuri Basti here exploded when she played with it, the police said. Her mother of the class three girl was also injured in the explosion, the police said.
Her neighbours said that a packet containing the toy car was found by a person on the road and the girl took it inside her home to play with it. As she was pushing it around an explosion occured grievously injuring the girl and her mother, who was nearby, they said.
The girl was immediately rushed to hospital where doctors said one of her eyes was damaged due to explosive particles entering it. Her face suffered multiple injuries as did her body and two of her fingers were severed. Assam: Explosion Near Shukleshwar Ghat in Guwahati, Four Injured.
The mother was injured on her legs, the doctors said. Police said its teams with forensic experts have rushed to the spot and have begun investigations to find out the nature of the explosive and who may have kept it at the spot.
