New Delhi, February 23: Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal on Saturday said that from March 1, 2019, he will launch a movement to make Delhi a full state. Adding that, the movement will not end until Delhi gets full statehood. Aam Aadmi Party supremo made this statement in Delhi assembly Today. "Democracy has been implemented in the entire nation, but not Delhi. Public votes and selects a government, but the government has no power. So we're starting a movement on March 1 and I'll sit on indefinite fast for the full statehood of Delhi," Arvind Kejriwal said.

The AAP has raised the demand for full statehood for Delhi after the Supreme Court gave control of Anit-Corruption Bureau (ACB) to the Centre, saying that it only has the power to order an inquiry against corrupt officers and not Delhi government. Top court judges, Justices AK Sikri and Ashok Bhushan, also left the decision on who controls Delhi officers to a 3-judge panel for a definitive ruling.
