Army Day 2019 to be Celebrated on January 15, Online Competitions Announced - Check How to Apply

New Delhi, December 24: The Indian Army is conducting an online video making, painting, photography and slogan writing competition on the occasion of Army Day on January 15. The army has invited entries for Army Day 2019 Competition. The last date for sending entries is January 9. Anybody who is an Indian national can participate in the competition. Participants can apply for the competition by login to their Facebook account, after which they should post their entry on their Facebook page tagging tag ADGPI – Indian Army Facebook page. Ranks in Indian Army: Post of Army Brigadier, Major General Could be Merged in Next 2 Years.
Participants are also required to send the soft copy of their entries at indianarmyday2019@gmail.com. After which the first 10 paintings/videos and photographs will be displayed on the appropriate occasion of the Indian Army. Best entries in each category will be posted on ADGPI official Social Media platforms. In case of similar posts, one posted earlier in timeline and intimation will be considered. The winner of each will get a prize of Rs 6,000. The second prize in each category is Rs 4,000. There are also five consolation prizes of Rs 2,000 for each competition, Apart from this, there will be five awards of merit in each category of Rs 1,000. Army Day is celebrated on 15 January every year in India, in recognition of Field Marshal Kodandera M. Cariappa's taking over as the first Commander-in-Chief of the Indian Army from the last British Commander-in-Chief General Sir Francis Butcher on 15 January 1949. Parades and various army show are conducted in New Delhi as well in all army headquarters across the country.
