Lucknow, October 3: Arjuna Awardee Sudha Singh, who recently won the silver medal at the Asian Games 2018, has petitioned Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath seeking a job in the sports department.
Sudha was recently announced a reward of Rs 30 lakh, along with a government job, by Adityanath for her exemplary performance at the Asian Games. The 32-year-old, however, has sought the CM's intervention for a job in which she could use her expertise. Sudha, who met the UP CM last month, said Adityanath assured her thrice of appointing her as Deputy Superintendent of Police. She, however, urged the Chief Minister to depute her as Deputy Director in the Sports Department.

"The CM said he would look into it. I appeal him to give me a job in the sports department or any other department in which he finds fit for me. Being the CM, he knows what is best for and what is best for the state," she said.
Before her glory at the Asian Games this year, Sudha had first gained fame by winning the Gold Medal at the Olympic Games 2010. She had stood first in the women's 3000m steeplechase.
