Delhi, December 21: The accused in the Daryaganj violence case have been remanded to two days judicial custody on Saturday by a Delhi Court. The court asked the counsel of the accused to move bail plea before the Chief Metropolitan Magistrate. According to reports, as published by new agency ANI through its tweets, anti-CAA protesters turned violent and began vandalising several vehicles near the Daryaganj police station on Friday. Meanwhile, 11 accused in the Seemapuri violence case have also been sent to judicial custody for 14 days "with right to move bail immediately." Some of the protesters allegedly vandalised several vehicles and torched a car in Daryaganj area of national capital on Friday night. Following which, the police detained several protesters and deployed hundreds of its personnel to maintain the law and order situation. At least 15 persons were arrested in relation to the case, said reports.

The accused in the Daryaganj violence case have been identified as Rehan Khan, Haider Ali, Zaid, Furkan, Danish, Shamsher Shan, Mohd Ali, Aamir, Ashfaq, Irfauddin, Abbas, Athar, Atif, Shabbir Ahmad and Danish Malik, reported India Today.
Those arrested have been charged with rioting and using force to deter policemen from doing duty, police said. According to police, the protesters had set on fire a private car parked at Subhash Marg area on Friday evening. The fire was immediately doused.
