Amaravati, December 16: Former Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister and Telugu Desam Party (TDP) president N Chandrababu Naidu on Monday staged a protest against the YSRCP government alleging that the government is pushing the development works in the state in backward direction. Naidu, along with TDP leaders and workers, walked backwards showing their displeasure against the work done by the current state government. Chandrababu Naidu's Entourage Attacked With Stones, Slipper Hurled at Former Andhra CM on His Way to Amaravati.
TDP had criticised Chief minister Y. S. Jaganmohan Reddy-led government for rising the fares of the Andhra Pradesh State Regional Transport Corporation (APSRTC). On the rising onion prices, Naidu had said, "Onion prices have risen to the level of gold prices and the state government has failed to reduce the price. Our fight will continue until the prices of onion come down."

Earlier this month, Naidu had referred the Chief Minister as a "fanatic" while expressing his ire at assembly marshals during protests outside Andhra Assembly. TDP president said that the situation had become worse after the fanatic becoming the Chief Minister. Reacting to the development, YSRCP members denounced Naidu's remarks against Jagan Reddy and demanded an apology.
