Mumbai, September 23: In a horrific incident that took place in Andhra Pradesh, a minor boy was allegedly killed by a few youngsters who slit his throat in Visakhapatnam. After killing the 16-year-old boy, the miscreants dumped his body in the sea near the fishing harbour locality under one-town police station limits. The incident came to light on Friday evening when locals discovered the dead body, which was wrapped in a plastic cover, floating in the waters.

According to a report in the Times of India, the deceased boy has been identified as Mylapalli Chinna (16). Police officials said Chinna is a resident of the Bhajanakovila locality in Vizag city. On September 21, Chinna went somewhere along with his friends and did not return home. His mother searched for him at various places; however, her efforts were in vain. Later, he was found dead when locals noticed his body floating in the water. L Revathamma, Inspector of one-town police station, said that the preliminary investigation revealed that some miscreants murdered Chinna over petty issues.

She also said that after killing Chinna, they dumped his body in the waters. Cops suspect that the murder could have taken place on September 21 night. "We have formed a team to ascertain the exact reasons for the murder and to identify and nab the accused persons," the officer added. Meanwhile, locals suggest that the murder was the result of a drunken brawl over money sharing. The report also states that the accused are minor boys. Cops have assured of arresting the accused as soon as they get the lead in the case.
