Hyderabad, September 15: In a sad incident, a tourist boat on Sunday capsized in Godavari river in Devipatnam of Andhra Pradesh. As per the initial report, 61 people were on-board at the time of the incident. Though no casualty has been reported as of yet, rescue operations have already begun.
According to the details pouring in, the boat capsized when it was taking the tourists from the Gandipochamma temple on the banks of the river to the scenic Papikondalu hills for sightseeing. Soon after the incident, several people were reported missing. Following the report, the district administration took steps for the rescue of missing people and sent two National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) teams of 30 members each to the site. Other emergency services were too rushed in to find the missing people.
