Andhra Pradesh, December 4: As the nation continues to mourn the horrific rape and murder of the veterinary woman, here comes another tragic news, where bodies of a 23-year-old woman and an infant were found by the roadside in Maddipadu Mandal of Prakasam District on Tuesday. Police are probing the incident. The identities of the deceased are yet to be ascertained by the police.
In another similar incident, a 50-year-old widow was allegedly gangraped and murdered in the G. Vemavaram village of East Godavari district. Three men are alleged to have committed the crime when the victim was alone in her house. According to other reports, the crime was done by her neighbour under the influence of alcohol. The state police have recently arrested a temple priest, who was on the run after raping a minor tribal girl in Kadapa district. D. Ravi alias Satyanarayana, who was hiding in East Godavari district, was apprehended by the police after they were alerted by their counterparts in Kadapa. The priest, who had changed his getup was calling up his family by using the mobile phone of others, was arrested in Annavaram.
