Mumbai, April 26: At Prime Minister Narendra Modi's public rally in Mumbai on April 26, Business tycoon Mukesh Ambani's son Anant Ambani seated in the front row. Speaking to Marathi news channel, the 24-year-old said, "I am here to listen to PM Modi and support the nation." This move comes just a week after his father had endorsed Indian National Congress's Milind Deora for Mumbai South Parliamentary seat, which will go into polls in the fourth phase of Lok Sabha elections 2019.

"Milind is the man for South Mumbai... Milind has in-depth knowledge of social, economic and cultural eco-system of the South Bombay constituency," Mukesh Ambani was seen saying in the video posted by Congress Mumbai chief on his Twitter timeline; Watch Video

Mukesh Ambani's backing of Deora places him on the opposition side of the spectrum from his brother Anil Ambani, which is frequently attacked by Congress president Rahul Gandhi. From time to time, Gandhi has alleged that PM Narendra Modi favouredAnil in getting him to offset deal from Rafale fighter jet maker, Dassault.

Meanwhile, South Mumbai will go to polls in the fourth phase of Lok Sabha elections on April 29. In Maharashtra, 17 parliamentary constituencies will go into polls on Monday. Counting of votes will be done on May 23, 2019.
