Kanpur, October 29:  In a shocking incident, a man was allegedly forced to drink acid by police officers when he asked for water at the Said Nagli police station in Uttar Pradesh's Amroha. The incident reportedly occurred on the night of October 14, following a brawl between two groups of students outside the police station.

According to a report published by News18Hindi, the victim was identified as named Dharmendra Singh. Dharmendra, a resident of Pansukha Milak village in Sambhal district, attempted to intervene in the fight but was taken into custody by the police. This incident comes just days after the death of Mohit Pandey in police custody in Lucknow. Dharmendra’s family and local villagers have met with the police circle officer, demanding immediate action against the officers involved.

32-year-old Mohit Pandey allegedly died under suspicious circumstances at the Chinhat Police Station in Uttar Pradesh's Lucknow. According to Mohit's family, he sustained severe injuries while at the police station, which they claim led to his death.
