Amritsar, September 26: In a shocking case of police apathy in Punjab's Amritsar, a woman was reportedly tied to a police vehicle and paraded on the road. According to reports, the woman was tied to the top of the police car, paraded and was dumped at a turn on the road. The shocking act has been caught on camera.

The local police have begun an investigation into the incident. The police reportedly meted out the shocking treatment to the woman as they were unable to find her husband, who is wanted in a case.

Shocking Video of Amritsar Police Apathy

The incident takes one back to the Jammu and Kashmir incident where a civilian was tied to an Army jeep and paraded on the roads in the year 2017.

The incident also comes just a day after another incident of police apathy was reported from Meerut of Uttar Pradesh. Three police personnel including a woman constable were suspended after a video of them abusing and slapping a girl for being friends with a Muslim man, went viral on social media.
