New Delhi, November 19:  A day after the grenade attack at Nirankari Bhawan complex in Amritsar's Rajasansi village, the Punjab Police released a CCTV footage showing two bike-borne miscreants who are suspected to be involved in the attack. According to a report by Catch News, the two men involved in the act were caught on camera and were seen on a motorcycle near the Nirankari Bhawan. The footage comes a day after three people were killed and 20 injured in a grenade attack on Sunday.

According to the report, the Punjab police has identified the Pulsar bike which was used by the attackers on Sunday. An investigation into the matter is currently underway. Meanwhile, the NIA team visited the blast site on Sunday night along with their investigators and explosive experts. Media Advisor to Punjab CM informed that they held discussions with Punjab DGP and DG Intelligence. The attack was targeted a religious gathering place of the Nirankari, a spiritual organisation in Adliwal village of Amritsar. The Sant Nirankari Mission is a spiritual organisation and the Bhavan which is located close to the international airport and Indo-Pak border. Amritsar Grenade Attack Maybe Orchestrated by Army Chief Bipin Rawat, Says AAP Leader HS Phoolka. 

On Sunday, the grenade was lobbed by one of the two people who had their faces covered. As per details by an eye-witness, one person pointed a gun at the volunteers manning the gate, while the other one hurled the bomb after which they managed to escape from the spot.

As soon as the incident was reported, DGP Suresh Arora with senior officers rushed to the spot and said they were treating the blast as a “terrorist act”. However, Chief Minister Amarinder Singh condemned the attack and said the possibility of the involvement of ISI-based Khalistani/Kashmiri terror groups could not be ruled out.
