Udaipur, May 22: A woman's body on Monday was found in the washroom of 3AC, third airconditioned coach, of a Delhi-Ratlam-Indore train. The body had injury marks and her gold bangles and earing were also missing. The incident took place in Delhi Sarai Rohilla-Indore Intercity Express as the train was en route to Delhi from Alwar. The woman, identified as Anju Yadav a resident of Manda in Rajasthan's Alwar, was travelling with her husband Jitendra and a two-year-old son.
Anju was sleeping with her son. Around 2:30 am Jitendra woke up after he heard his son crying. He looked for his wife, but could not found her. Later, her body was found in the washroom, with dupatta strangled around her neck. He tried to find the train's guard but was unable to locate him. Jitendra then pulled the chain and brought the train to halt, after which the railway staff informed the RPF officials. GRPF officials took the body to Chittorgarh station and sent it for a post mortem. Meanwhile, a case has been registered. According to reports, Anju was stranged to death after being robbed on the train.
