In a shocking incident in Rajasthan’s Alwar, a 15-year-old girl died after consuming poison following an alleged gang-rape. The accused recorded videos and photos of the sex assault. Cops have launched probe to arrest accused.
Alwar, November 14: A shocking incident occurred in Rajasthan’s Alwar district, where a 15-year-old girl died after consuming poison following an alleged gang-rape. The incident took place on November 8 in a village under the Ramgarh police station. According to ASI Bholaram, the girl had gone to the fields with her sister-in-law, who later returned home, leaving her alone.
Seizing the opportunity, two local men reportedly accosted and gang-raped her, recording videos and photos of the sex assault, reported Live Hindustan. The accused then posted these visuals on social media, leading to public humiliation and severe distress for the victim. After discovering that the video had circulated online, the girl took poison. Her family rushed her to the district hospital, where doctors attempted treatment. Given her critical condition, she was transferred to Jaipur’s SMS hospital, but she later succumbed to her injuries. Following the family’s complaint, Ramgarh police registered a case under the POCSO Act. This comes after 5 men were arrested in Delhi’s Lajpat Nagar area for allegedly gang-raping a 17-year-old girl and her aunt at a house, police said on Tuesday. The incident took place on Saturday night and the matter came to the fore when the duo reached Safdarjung Hospital for the minor's treatment on Sunday.
The accused are identified as Shivam Parchha, Aman Pal, Ashish alias Anshuman, Amar Mehra and Abhishek alias Ishu, police said, adding that they work as drivers and security guards in parts of south Delhi.
