Alwar, May 19: In another incident of sexual abuse reported from Alwar, a 15-year-old girl was gangraped by three minors in a village of Alwar where she had gone to attend a relative's marriage. One of the accused was lynched by the family of the victim. SP Anil Deshmukh said, “While one of the accused managed to flee, the other two were caught by the victims' family members and thrashed the next morning... The families of the victim and the deceased youth have lodged separate FIRs. “Victim’s mother registered an FIR against the three accused, the family members of the deceased registered a case of murder against the girl's brother and others," said Deshmukh. Investigating Officer and Deputy Superintendent of Police (Behror) Ramjilal said that both the accused in the rape case were detained on Friday and they were sent to a juvenile home by a court till May 29. In a separate incident in Churu, a six-year-old girl was allegedly raped by her relative. "The girl had gone to fetch water when the 14-year old accused took her to an isolated place and committed the crime on Friday. He has been detained," SHO of Bhanipura Police Station Malkiyat Singh said. In another incident, an eight-year-old girl was raped Dholpur on Thursday. "The victim was staying at her maternal grandfather's home where the accused, identified as Parvesh, 18, raped her. He was caught Saturday," SHO of Mahila Thana-Dholpur Yashpal Singh said.
The three cases of sexual assault have surfaced in less than a month after a woman was gangraped in front of her husband on April 26 in Alwar. The incident took place when she was going with him on a motorcycle on Thanagaji-Alwar road. One of the accused shot video of the crime. On Friday, the Jodhpur High Court has issued a notice to the Rajasthan government over the spate of rape cases being reported in the state. Taking cognizance of the gangrape of a Dalit woman in Alwar, along with other cases of sexual assaults reported in the recent period, the bench asked the Ashok Gehlot government to share more information with them.
