Aligarh, August 11: A shocking case of medical negligence has emerged from Aligarh, Uttar Pradesh, where a private hospital left a towel inside a woman’s abdomen during her delivery, leading to severe complications. The incident occurred at Shiv Mahima Hospital on GT Road, where the 28-year-old woman was admitted for the birth of her twin daughters. During the procedure, doctors inadvertently left a surgical towel inside her abdomen. She was discharged after the delivery, but soon began experiencing excruciating abdominal pain.

Despite her worsening condition, the hospital allegedly dismissed her symptoms, prescribing only medication. As her pain intensified, her family sought treatment at another hospital, where an ultrasound revealed the presence of the towel inside her abdomen. The woman was immediately taken in for surgery to remove the foreign object. Uttar Pradesh: Doctors at RMLIMS in Lucknow Remove Second Heaviest Tumour in India, Weighing 5.5 Kg, From Woman's Kidney.
