Akbaruddin Owaisi Health Update: Chandrayangutta MLA Discharged From London Hospital

AIMIM second-in-command Akbaruddin Owaisi has been discharged from London Hospital and will return to Hyderabad soon.

London/Hyderabad, June 17: All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM) second-in-command Akbaruddin Owaisi, who has been admitted in at a hospital in London, has been discharged and will soon return to India. As per the reports, the junior Owaisi would be returning to Hyderabad within a week. His elder brother Asaduddin Owaisi had urged people to pray for his brother.

The junior Owaisi who represents Chandrayangutta constituency in Telangana Assembly, was undergoing treatment in London. He had complained of severe pain in the stomach and vomited a few days ago. Since then, his health condition hasn't improved, reports said. Speaking at an event to celebrate Eid, his brother Asaduddin Owaisi urged supporters to pray for Akbaruddin's speedy recovery. Appealing to the people of Hyderabad to pray for his brother's recovery, Asaduddin had said, "I wish you on Eid. I also request you to pray for Akbaruddin's health. I received information that his condition has worsened again. May Allah protect him and improve his health." It is to be known that Akbaruddin sustained a bullet injury to his abdomen in 2011 when assailants opened fire at him.

Until this day, the bullet remains lodged near his kidney as doctors warned that its removal may affect his legs. It's been 9 years but Akbaruddin still suffers because of the bullet inside his body. In the 2018 Telangana Assembly election, he won the Chandrayangutta seat for the fifth time since 1999. He was arrested for alleged hate speech in 2013.
