Indore, June 30: BJP MLA Akash Vijayvargiya was garlanded by party workers on Sunday morning after he walked out of prison on bail. This development comes after Akash, son of senior BJP leader Kailash Vijayvargiya, was arrested for beating a Municipal officer with a cricket bat in Madhya Pradesh's Indore. The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) workers also fired in the sky at the party office to celebrate his return. Akash Vijayvargiya Released from Jail, Says 'Not Embarrassed' of Thrashing Officer.

Akash was granted bail by a special court in Bhopal on Saturday, June 29. “I am not guilty or embarrassed about what I did as it was in public interest. “We work for public interest and dedicate each and every moment of our lives for the peace and prosperity of people of this country. We will continue doing that. I pray to god ‘ki vo dobara ballebazi karne ka avsar na de’ (I Pray to God that I should not be given another opportunity to pick up the bat,” he was reported saying.

Kailash Vijayvargiya received him outside the jail with supporters. According to reports, Akash went to party office before heading home, where he offered sweets and flowers. He also thanked his wellwishers for their support. On Thursday, Akash was arrested for thrashing a municipal officer.
