Jaipur, October 3: On Friday late night, a woman died, while her two granddaughters were rushed to Ajmer's JLN Hospital in severe condition after suffering from food poisoning in Bhinai town. According to preliminary reports, the trio became ill after drinking tea on Friday night. The case is being investigated by the police.

The incident was reported at Taleda village of Bhinai situated in Rajasthan, where Jhumku Devi (65), her granddaughters Monika (18) and Nayasa (14), along with the grandson Ramdev (9) were alone in the house on Friday night, as the children's father, Parmesh, was in Ajmer for work. After some time, all three became ill and were rushed to the nearby Bhinai Hospital, where doctors suspected food poisoning and transferred them to the JLN Hospital in Ajmer. Jhumku died during treatment early in the morning, while Monika and Nayasa are still being treated. According to the police, they are awaiting Jhumku Devi's postmortem report to determine the cause of food poisoning.

As per the reports, the boy was at his maternal grandfather's house in Simrol because his father is now in jail. According to Simrol police, the youngster stopped breathing after drinking the tea. The youngster was then sent to Chacha Nehru Hospital in Indore, which is 22 kilometres distant. Despite their best efforts, the medical team at the state-run hospital declared the kid dead after treatment.
