Air Vistara Expresses Regret After Recalling Snag-Hit Hyderabad-Bound Flight UK-869 to Mumbai Airport, Arranges Another Aircraft

Hours after Air Vistara flight UK-869 made an emergency landing at Mumbai International Airport on Friday, the airline issues a statement in which it regretted about the inconvenience caused to the passengers. The Hyderabad-bound flight UK-869 departed from Mumbai International Airport (T2) at about 3.30 pm.

Mumbai, August 30: Hours after Air Vistara flight UK-869 made an emergency landing at Mumbai International Airport on Friday, the airline issued a statement in which it regretted the inconvenience caused to the passengers. The Hyderabad-bound flight UK-869 which departed from Mumbai International Airport (T2) at about 3.30 pm developed a technical snag after take-off. The airline also arranged another aircraft for the passengers. Vistara in the statement said, “Our Hyderabad-bound flight UK869 returned to Mumbai due to technical snag detected after take-off. It safely landed back in Mumbai and another aircraft was arranged to operate the flight soon after. Vistara's Statement:

However, the airline has not yet revealed the exact cause of the technical snag. According to sources, the flight suffered several jerks while flying, after which it made an emergency landing at the Mumbai Airport. All the passengers are reportedly safe. Among the passengers was Telugu superstar Chiranjeevi, who was in Mumbai to promote his upcoming movie, Sye Raa Narasimha Reddy.
