New Delhi, April 22: Air Vistara on Sunday issued a clarification after facing flak from both supporters and critics of Major General (R) GD Bakshi. A political controversy erupted when the airlines tweeted a picture with Maj Gen (R) GD Bakshi After getting trolled by critics of the former General-rank officer, Vistara deleted the picture. In the clarification, the airlines said, “Vistara routinely posts happy photos of our customers on board along with our crew. However, such a recent post generated numerous comments that we were disrespectful to all parties.” Vistara further added, “We do not want our platform to be disrespectful or hurtful to anyone. Vistara tweeted the picture of Bakshi sitting in business class with two air hostesses posing behind him. The tweet read, “Honored to have Major General GD Bakshi (Retd.), a decorated Kargil war hero, onboard our flight today. Thank you Sir, for your service to the nation.” But after facing flak, the airlines deleted the picture. But this also invited another controversy, and netizens started attacking the airlines for deleting the picture.
