New Delhi, March 4: Amid tensions between Indian and Pakistan not looking to end - after the Pulwana terror attack and Balalot air strikes - Air India on Monday issued a new directive for all its cabin and cockpit crew to say 'Jai Hind' after every announcement made onboard.

The above directive has been issued by the newly appointed Chairman and Managing Director of Air India - Ashwani Lohani. It is to be known that previously too, he had issued a similar directive, while he was the MD of the national carrier in 2016. IAF's Sukhoi 30MKI Shoots Down Pakistani Drone in Bikaner Border.

According to the circular issued by Lohani for the crew member, as quoted by ANI, it says, "With immediate effect, all are required to announce 'Jai Hind' at the end of every announcement after a slight pause and with much fervour." Presently, around 3,500 cabin crew and over 1,200 cockpit crew work in Air India.

Earlier, PM Narendra Modi, while speaking on the recent Indian Air Force (IAF) bombing on Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM) terror camps in Balakot, Pakistan, said that India does not sit quiet now at the martyrdom of its soldiers, instead it now makes the culprits pay for every crime. "Ab Bharat apne veer jawano ke balidaan par chup nahi baithta, chun chun kar hisaab leta hai," said the PM at the rally.
